As business leaders, I am sure we constantly try to be the best for our team and there are a lot more things that we know we can do to be a greater leader.

Some of it are:

  • Showing your appreciation towards your team

  • Listening actively to your team

  • Having confidence in the choices that you make

  • Believing in yourself and your team

  • Be the team’s source of motivation - Mentoring your team. Pushing them to their best.

  • Recognising their accomplishments.

Online Motivation

Now due to COVID, we are all unable to communicate face-to-face as much as we'd like to with our team so how can we be a better leader in motivating our team online?

The team’s level of motivation depends on whether the people mind working somewhere else but not in office. Take a look at the statistics below.

As you can see here, those who were given a choice on where they can work are more motivated to do their as compared to those who did not had any chance to decide where to work.

With the COVID situation going on for the past 2 years here Singapore, most of us are forced to work from home. We have seen some who love working from home and some prefer working at their office. Hence, it really depends on your team. Find out first how is your team feeling.
